Terms of Service
1. Who we are, and what this site is
This website is operated by RailReserve, a sole proprietorship at E/1172 Palam, Sector 7 Dwarka, Dwarka, New Delhi, 110077, India.
RailReserve is a search and comparison service. We show train routes, journey times and indicative fares, and we link you to a third-party booking partner who can sell you a ticket. By using this site you agree to these terms.
2. What we are not
We want this to be unambiguous. We are not:
- a rail operator;
- a ticket vendor, travel agent or tour operator;
- a party to any booking contract you enter into;
- able to issue, amend, cancel or refund a ticket.
We take no payment from you. We never see your card details. If a page is asking you for payment information, you have already left this site.
3. Bookings are made with someone else
This is true on the phone as well. If you call us, we may search for you and send you a link with your route and date filled in — but the booking itself, and the payment, are still made by you on our partner’s site. We do not book on your behalf, we do not hold your money, and we never take card details over the phone.
When you search, we open our booking partner’s website with your route and date filled in. Everything after that point — the price you are quoted, availability, payment, ticket delivery, changes, cancellations, refunds and any dispute about the journey — is governed by their terms and conditions and by the rail operator’s conditions of carriage.
Please read their terms before you pay. If something goes wrong with a booking, contact them or the operator, because they hold the booking and we do not.
4. How we are paid
We are paid a commission by our booking partner when a visitor books after following one of our links. This costs you nothing — we do not add a fee or a mark-up to the fare. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Commission does not change the routes we show you or the order they appear in on this page.
5. Accuracy of information
Rail fares and timetables change constantly. The prices, durations and operators shown on this site are indicative: they were accurate when we recorded them and they are not live. The only price that counts is the one shown on our booking partner’s results page at the moment you book.
We take reasonable care, but we do not warrant that any information on this site is complete, current or error-free.
6. Coverage
Our search covers 19 countries across the UK, Europe and Asia. It does not cover rail travel in the United States, Canada, India or Australia. Where we cannot search a country we say so rather than showing you a similarly named station somewhere else.
7. Using this site
You agree not to:
- use the site for anything unlawful, or to break anyone else’s rights;
- scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the site or its data;
- attempt to interfere with the site, or with our booking partner’s systems;
- submit false information through any form on the site.
8. Intellectual property
The design, text and layout of this site belong to us or to our licensors. Rail operator names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners and are used only to describe the services they run. Their appearance here does not imply any endorsement or partnership.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for the acts or omissions of our booking partner, of any rail operator, or of any other third party;
- we are not liable for missed trains or connections, delays, cancellations, strikes, denied boarding, or losses arising from them;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost bookings or missed events;
- the site is provided “as is” and may be unavailable at times.
10. Links to other sites
We link to our booking partner and may link to other third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy practices.
11. Changes
We may change these terms. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
