Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 22 August 2026

In one sentence. When you book a train after clicking through from this site, we may be paid a commission by our booking partner. You pay nothing extra, and it does not change what we show you.

1. How this site makes money

RailReserve is free to use. We do not charge you a booking fee, and we do not take payment for tickets at all — we cannot, because we are not the ticket seller.

Instead we take part in an affiliate programme. Our links to our booking partner carry an identifier that tells them the visit came from us. If you go on to book, they pay us a commission out of their own margin.

2. What it costs you

Nothing. The fare you pay is the fare our booking partner would have charged you had you gone to them directly. We do not add a mark-up and we cannot change their prices.

3. Does it change what you see?

No. The routes on this site were chosen because they are commonly travelled, not because they pay more. We do not accept payment to rank one route, operator or destination above another, and there is no paid placement on this page.

The one thing commission does affect is which booking partner we send you to — and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. You are always free to book directly with the rail operator instead, and on some routes that may be cheaper.

4. Which links are affiliate links

These are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored", which is the standard way of declaring a paid link to search engines.

5. Who our booking partner is

Booking, payment, ticketing and customer service are provided by a third-party travel company. Their identity is shown on the page you land on when you click through, and their terms and privacy policy apply from that point. See our Terms of Service.

6. Our commitment

7. Our partner IDs

For transparency, our Trip.com affiliate identifiers are Alliance ID 8715064 and SID 319826011. They appear in the links we send you to, and they are how the commission is attributed to us.
